Yes. The Home Energy Saver loan by Brighte has a 0% interest rate for the life of the loan, with repayment terms of up to 10 years.

There are no establishment fees, account-keeping fees or introducer fees for the loan. However, other charges, such as a late payment fee, may apply in certain circumstances.

The loan is subject to eligibility criteria, Brighte’s credit assessment and program requirements.

To be eligible for the Home Energy Saver loan by Brighte, you generally need to own a residential property in NSW, either as an owner-occupier or landlord, and have a combined household taxable income of no more than $210,000 per year.

Applicants must also be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, and the property cannot be social housing or used for short-stay accommodation.

All applications are subject to Brighte’s eligibility requirements and credit assessment, as well as the NSW Home Energy Saver program requirements.

The Home Energy Saver loan by Brighte can be used to help finance eligible and approved home energy upgrades under the NSW Home Energy Saver program.

Depending on current program and product requirements, eligible upgrades can include rooftop solar, home battery storage, reverse-cycle air conditioning, heat-pump or solar hot water systems, EV chargers, induction cooktops, DC ceiling fans, switchboard upgrades, insulation, draught proofing and double glazing.

Yes. Rooftop solar and eligible home battery systems are among the energy upgrades that may be financed through the NSW Home Energy Saver program, subject to current product and program requirements.

DNR can assess your home’s electricity usage, existing solar system and future energy needs to recommend an appropriately sized solar and/or battery system and provide a quote for the eligible installation.

If you’re considering a battery, there may also be other government incentives or rebates available separately. Eligibility for those incentives is different from eligibility for the Home Energy Saver loan, so DNR can help you understand which options may apply to your installation.

This gives you one local team from initial advice and quoting through to installation and after-sales support, while Brighte manages the loan application and finance approval.

Finance approval is subject to Brighte’s eligibility, credit assessment and program requirements.

Discount amounts, eligibility criteria, approved upgrades and availability are subject to NSW Home Energy Saver program requirements.

Potentially, yes. Depending on the upgrade and your circumstances, you may be able to access the Home Energy Saver loan alongside other available solar, battery or energy incentives.

For example, eligible battery installations may qualify for incentives under the Australian Government’s Cheaper Home Batteries Program, while other NSW energy incentives may also apply to particular technologies or installations.

Each incentive has its own eligibility criteria, technical requirements and application process, so qualifying for the Home Energy Saver loan does not automatically mean you will qualify for another rebate or incentive.

DNR can help identify the incentives that may apply to your proposed installation and structure your quote accordingly, while final eligibility remains subject to the requirements of each relevant program.
